You’re Starting To Illinois Me Shirt is a humorous football-themed pun worn by a Green Bay Packers fan. Discover more about the meaning of the shirt below!

You’re Starting To Illinois Me Shirt Meaning

You’re Starting To Illinois Me T Shirt

The t-shirt stands out with the phrase “You’re Starting To Illinois Me”. The phrase plays on the expression “You’re starting to annoy me” or “You’re starting to piss me off,” replacing the idea of becoming annoyed with “Illinois,” the neighboring state associated with Chicago and its sports teams.

The joke comes from the intense rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, two NFC North teams with a long history of competing against each other. The Packers represent Wisconsin, while the Bears represent Chicago, Illinois. This rivalry is especially meaningful to fans because it is one of the NFL’s oldest, and supporters often use playful insults and wordplay to tease their opponents.

The shirt’s message can be interpreted as a cheeky way for a Packers fan to express frustration with the Bears or their supporters. “You’re starting to Illinois me” essentially suggests that someone is annoying the wearer so much that they are bringing the Packers–Bears rivalry into the conversation.

The design is particularly relevant to the rivalry in 2026: on October 11, 2026, the Packers defeated the Bears 31–7, making the shirt’s teasing tone especially fitting for a Green Bay supporter celebrating a win.

Overall, this You’re Starting To Illinois Me Shirt combines football fandom, regional rivalry, and a clever play on words. It is intended to be funny and provocative rather than a literal statement about Illinois residents.
