The phrase ‘Girl is a gun’ can be traced back to the 1971 French-made western film ‘Une aventure de Billy le Kid/A Girl is a Gun,’ written and directed by French New Wave filmmaker Luc Moullet. The film is about Billy The Kid, a famous Western criminal and gunfighter of the American Old West who murdered eight men before being shot and killed at age 21.
