The Meaning of This Is My Town For Me To Fart In T-Shirt
The tee originates from the Gadsden flag also known as “Don’t tread on me”. The Gadsden flag is an American flag with a yellow background, with an image of a rattlesnake coiled up and ready to attack. Under the snake are the words “DONT TREAD ON ME“.
The flag is named after the American statesman Christopher Gadsden (1724–1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used as a battle cry for American independence from British rule by the Continental Marines as an early emblem, along with the Moultrie Flag.
The snake was considered a symbol of America at that time. It was famously used by Benjamin Franklin, who said that the rattlesnake never backed down when provoked, capturing “the temper and conduct of America.”
Don’t tread on me means “to step, walk, in order to press, crush, or injure something.” With its tongue flicked, fangs out, and body coiled to attack, the rattlesnake warns, “If you dare step on me, I will strike.”
The Gadsden flag is now used in political movements, as well as to show strength in a certain statement or opinion! Shipping and expedited manufacturing ($14.95+) (U.S. Only)
- Orders using this option jump to the front of the manufacturing queue which can generally save a couple days (or more during busier times of the year).
- It's highly recommended to use this option if you are ordering for a specific event or holiday.
- Orders using this option generally arrive 2-3 days after being manufactured and shipped. (U.S. only)
- Orders using expedited manufacturing will be printed when the next batch of orders are processed which can vary depending on seasonality and other factors.
