Recently, the saying “Roses Are Red Kamalas Not Black Joe Has Dementia And Hunter’s On Crack” has become a hot trend on social networks. It is constantly being discussed and debated on forums, especially anti-Biden and Kamalas Harris. So where exactly is the origin and meaning of this saying?
Roses Are Red Kamalas Not Black Joe Has Dementia Meaning
Roses are Red
This phrase makes it easy to think of many short poems whose rhyming verses begin with the line “Rose are red, violets are blue.” While the original meaning of the poem was used to convey the message of love, now its derivative versions have varied into many different meanings such as parody, anti-humor, and political ridicule.
“Rose are red” are taken from the sentence: “Rose are red, violets are blue”. The verse is inspired by Edmund Spenser’s 16th-century epic poem The Faerie Queene, which describes a man watching a fairy woman bathing on a summer day.
In 1988, American Folklore for Children compiled 14 derivatives of the root rhyme, both positive and negative. Other variations have appeared in a number of movies, books, songs, television shows, and video games including Bob Dylan’s 1989 song “Where Teardrops Fall”, the 1991 comedy film What About Bob? and Kurt Vonnegut’s 1973 novel Breakfast of Champions.
On October 12, 2006, on a Yahoo Q&A, an account asked, “Got any funny roses are red, violets are blue poems?” Next, on July 21, 2012, Reddit user (since deleted) started a thread on /r/AskReddit asking the user, “Give me your best poem” Roses are red “. As of February 2014, the topic had over 900 comments. On Tumblr, they are often incorporated into Valentine’s Day e-cards.
In August 2016, a series of offensive jokes based on the snowclone “roses are red…” began circulating on Weird Twitter, in which headlines ended up being replaced with captioned images and offbeat news headlines. For example, user @veryhiggins’ tweet took a screenshot of Jerry Seinfeld reviewing a Bee Movie sequel.
While it is difficult to pinpoint the source of these variations, The Daily Dot attributes its growing popularity to @nochillpoetry – a Twitter account that specializes in curating various jokes in such away. And now it also appears on political satires such as: “Roses Are Red Kamalas Not Black Shirt Joe Has Dementia “
Kamala’s Not Black
Why are claims that “Kamala’s Not Black” or “Kamala Harris is not an American black” suddenly everywhere? Is it a movement or a troll?
The inauguration of Kamala Harris as vice president of the United States is one of the most important moments in American history. However, when Harris was nominated in August, her biracial identity sparked much discussion on social media about her background. Kamala is half Indian and half Jamaican.
While some South Asian voters are annoyed that this part of her identity has long been downplayed, others are excited that Kamala has represented South Asian American women and women of color. Meanwhile, some Black voters debated if she was really “Black Enough,” and far-right critics pushed birther-style arguments, asking whether she is a U.S. citizen and Harris’s eligibility for vice president.
Another reading, “Kamala Harris Is Not Black” is attached to a photo of Harris with “Kamala Dolezal” painted over her face, a reference to Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who identifies as “transracially” black.
During the Democratic presidential debate, Donald Trump Jr. shared a viral tweet that questions Sen. Kamala D. Harris’s (D-Calif.) ability to address issues of importance to black Americans because she is a daughter of a Jamaican immigrant. The tweet reads:
“Kamala Harris is *not* an American Black. She is half Indian and half Jamaican. I’m so sick of people robbing American Blacks (like myself) of our history. It’s disgusting. Now using it for debate time at #DemDebate2? These are my people not her people. Freaking disgusting.”
By the end of the night, Trump’s tweet had been deleted, but it was too late. This debate movement has been elevated to his millions of followers and for a while, became mainstream, and it is still hot until now.
At first glance, Harris’s suspicious tweets look like racist conspiracies against Barack Obama when he ran for president. These tweets are an attempt to paint her as an imposter (and in fact, there’s evidence that the “Kamala Dolezal” meme originated from birther-like malicious orbs). But a quick look at the biographies and tweets of people who frequently question Harris’s blackness, and his ability to speak to the black American experience, often see not the #MAGA hashtag but another tag: #ADOS, or descendants of American slaves.
Joe Has Dementia
Democrats must be ashamed of themselves. They have spent the past four years criticizing Donald Trump in no small part on his state of mind, and rightly so. Now, Democrats are conspiring to shock the American people by designing the presidential election of a man who clearly suffers from dementia, Joe Biden. This is not the time to be “polite”. Because we are talking about the most important event in America – the presidency. As always, we need a frank discussion and debate about issues and candidates.
On November 7, Joe Biden officially became the oldest president in US history. At 77 years old, Biden was the same age as Ronald Reagan when he finished his second term. It’s no surprise that during the 2020 campaign, there were a few questions about Biden’s physical and mental health. It’s politics as usual. But should people worry about a president closer to 80?
What happens to the bodies of people in their 70s is obvious. But what happens to their brains can be harder to see. Andrew Budson, a professor of neurology at the BU School of Medicine, shares how aging affects memory and decision-making in older adults.
He said: Between the ages of 60 and 70, there is a gradual increase in brain diseases, such that by the age of 70, less than 10% of people develop some form of dementia. Dementia means cognitive decline severe enough to interfere with daily functioning. By age 80, about one-third of people have dementia, and by age 90, more than half have dementia.
So what does all this prove? That’s why people say Joe Has Dementia and shouldn’t be president.
You also see the words “Hunter’s On Crack” on the shirt. It is related to President Joe Biden’s son – Hunter Biden – who has been addicted to alcohol and drugs for many years. His addiction was so bad that his father had to intervene.
In short, the purpose of this saying is for those who hate Mr. Biden, Kamala Harris wants to sarcastic, satirize them. So are you one of those anti-Biden and Kamala people? If so, prove it to everyone by wearing this Roses Are Red Kamalas Not Black Joe Has Dementia Shirt.
