In August 2016, a series of offensive jokes based on the snowclone “roses are red…” began circulating on Weird Twitter, in which headlines ended up being replaced with captioned images and offbeat news headlines. Why are claims that “Kamala’s Not Black” or “Kamala Harris is not an American black” suddenly everywhere? Is it a movement or a troll?

The inauguration of Kamala Harris as vice president of the United States is one of the most important moments in American history. However, when Harris was nominated in August, her biracial identity sparked much discussion on social media about her background. Kamala is half Indian and half Jamaican.

While some South Asian voters are annoyed that this part of her identity has long been downplayed, others are excited that Kamala has represented South Asian American women and women of color. Meanwhile, some Black voters debated if she was really “Black Enough,” and far-right critics pushed birther-style arguments, asking whether she is a U.S. citizen and Harris’s eligibility for vice president.

Another reading, “Kamala Harris Is Not Black” is attached to a photo of Harris with “Kamala Dolezal” painted over her face, a reference to Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who identifies as “transracially” black.

During the Democratic presidential debate, Donald Trump Jr. shared a viral tweet that questions Sen. Kamala D. Harris’s (D-Calif.) ability to address issues of importance to black Americans because she is a daughter of a Jamaican immigrant. The tweet reads:

“Kamala Harris is *not* an American Black. She is half Indian and half Jamaican. I’m so sick of people robbing American Blacks (like myself) of our history. It’s disgusting. Now using it for debate time at #DemDebate2? These are my people not her people. Freaking disgusting.”

By the end of the night, Trump’s tweet had been deleted, but it was too late. This debate movement has been elevated to millions of followers and for a while, became mainstream, and it is still hot now.

At first glance, Harris’s suspicious tweets look like racist conspiracies against Barack Obama when he ran for president. These tweets are an attempt to paint her as an imposter (and in fact, there’s evidence that the “Kamala Dolezal” meme originated from birther-like malicious orbs). But a quick look at the biographies and tweets of people who frequently question Harris’s blackness, and his ability to speak to the black American experience, often see not the #MAGA hashtag but another tag: #ADOS, or descendants of American slaves.

Joe Has Dementia

He said: Between the ages of 60 and 70, there is a gradual increase in brain diseases, such that by the age of 70, less than 10% of people develop some form of dementia. Dementia means cognitive decline severe enough to interfere with daily functioning. By age 80, about one-third of people have dementia, and by age 90, more than half have dementia.

Through his COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Biden intentionally violated the constitutional and civil rights of millions of Americans, imposing his will on their bodies by threatening their livelihoods. However, the number of deaths in the US is up to 850000 people!

During his time in office, Biden plunged the US economy into a serious crisis, reaching alarming levels for decades. High inflation and rising gasoline prices are also one of the reasons why Americans’ lives have been unstable for a long time!
