Renegades Baseball Steve Bartman Incident Sweatshirt Meaning

The Steve Bartman incident occurred during a Major League Baseball (MLB) playoff game between the Chicago Cubs and the Florida Marlins on October 14, 2003. As Cubs outfielder Moises Alou attempted to catch the ball, Cubs fan Steve Bartman reached for it, inadvertently deflecting it away from Alou’s glove. This led to Alou’s frustration and triggered a chain of events that contributed to the Cubs’ loss in that game and ultimately the series.
Bartman became a symbol of the Cubs’ misfortune in that game, and the incident remains a significant moment in MLB history. At that time, Bartman also wore a sweatshirt that read “Renegades”.
