Kobe Bryant Draft Day Shirt Meaning

On June 26, 1996, during the National Basketball Draft, the Charlotte Hornets selected Kobe Bryant with the 13th overall pick straight out of Lower Merion High School in Philadelphia.
However, Bryant’s career with the Hornets was short-lived. The Hornets had already agreed to trade Bryant to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for veteran center Vlade Divac. This pre-arranged deal was orchestrated by the Lakers’ then-General Manager Jerry West, who saw immense potential in Bryant.
The trade became official on July 11, 1996, which marked the beginning of Bryant’s legendary career with the Lakers. Over the next two decades, Bryant became one of the most iconic players in history. He earned the nickname “Black Mamba” and led the Lakers to five championships.
On January 26, 2020, basketball legend Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others tragically died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. The crash occurred while they were en route to Gianna’s basketball game. Kobe Bryant passed away but his legacy lasts forever.

Shipping and expedited manufacturing ($14.95+) (U.S. Only)
- Orders using this option jump to the front of the manufacturing queue which can generally save a couple days (or more during busier times of the year).
- It's highly recommended to use this option if you are ordering for a specific event or holiday.
- Orders using this option generally arrive 2-3 days after being manufactured and shipped. (U.S. only)
- Orders using expedited manufacturing will be printed when the next batch of orders are processed which can vary depending on seasonality and other factors.
