Are you concerned about rising food prices? Thanks to the Costco warehouse store, there is some good news. The store is famed for its hot dog and drink combo, which can be purchased for as little as $1.50 at the in-store food counter. Even in difficult financial times, that price tag remains, possibly “forever.”
Jelinek, Costco’s top boss since 2012, says making sausages in-house has helped the company keep costs lower. Costco has been selling hot dogs in its stores since the 1980s – with the original hot dog cart evolving into a full-fledged food court.
Costco representatives were quick to quash any rumors surrounding the ballpark snack being overpriced. During the third-quarter earnings press conference, Costco Senior Vice President Robert Nelson assured investors that despite the rumors online, the price remained at $1.50. CEO Craig Jelinek told shareholders, “We have no plans to take that hot dog above a buck fifty. End of story.”
So, now you can rest assured. Inflation can’t touch the hot dogs! Keep the hot dogs for $1.50!

Production and Standard Delivery times

- International & EU Orders*: It may take additional days if orders have to go through customs. We have no influence on the customs process and our apologies for any inconvenience due to delivery delays resulting from this.
Shipping and expedited manufacturing ($14.95+) (U.S. Only)
- Orders using this option jump to the front of the manufacturing queue which can generally save a couple days (or more during busier times of the year).
- It's highly recommended to use this option if you are ordering for a specific event or holiday.
- Orders using this option generally arrive 2-3 days after being manufactured and shipped. (U.S. only)
- Orders using expedited manufacturing will be printed when the next batch of orders are processed which can vary depending on seasonality and other factors.
