It was when Kate Barlow was teaching “The duck swims on the lake” then a student named Trout Walker (portrayed by Scott Plank) said: “the duck may swim on the lake, but my daddy owns the lake”.
As a supporting role of Trout Walker in Holes, Plank really made many people laugh with this scene. There have been some comments like “Ever since I watched this movie this scene would always make me laugh as a kid” or “everytime I see a lake I think of this scene” or “funniest scene in the movie”.
