Fuck These Fascists Oligargle My Balls Gadsden Flag Shirt Meaning
The original Gadsden flag features a coiled rattlesnake above the words “Don’t Tread on Me,” a slogan dating back to the American Revolution that originally represented resistance to oppression and the defense of individual liberty.
This design deliberately reclaims and satirizes that symbol. Instead of the traditional slogan, the rattlesnake contains the words “Fuck These Fascists,” while the phrase “Oligargle My Balls” appears beneath it. “Oligargle” is a recent slang term that combines “oligarch” and “gargle,” using crude humor to express contempt for wealthy elites or powerful figures perceived to have excessive political or economic influence. The phrase “Oligargle My Balls” is an intentionally vulgar way of saying, “I reject and refuse to submit to oligarchs and authoritarian power.”
The shirt’s message is therefore directed against two targets at once. The phrase “Fuck These Fascists” is an explicit rejection of fascism and authoritarian ideology, while “Oligargle My Balls” broadens the criticism to include oligarchs and concentrated economic power.
