Caitlin Clark This Was Never A Long Shot Shirt Meaning
Caitlin Clark is an American college basketball player for the Iowa Lady Hawkeyes of the Big Ten Conference. She is the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer and is regarded as one of the greatest players in college basketball history.
On Feb. 15, Iowa senior Caitlin Clark scored a career-high and program-record 49 points to break Kelsey Plum’s record for most career points in women’s NCAA history. The 6-foot-0 guard scored the record-breaking points on — what else? — a logo 3-pointer from 30 feet.
On Feb. 28, Clark scored 33 points to pass AIAW legend Lynette Woodard, who held the major college record with 3,649 points, set just before the NCAA era.
On Sunday, in the closing seconds of the second quarter of Iowa’s game against Ohio State, Clark hit two free throws to pass LSU legend Pete Maravich’s mark (3,667) for most career points in Division I history for men and women. Clark entered the game with 3,650 points.
Clark also entered Sunday’s game 235 points shy of passing Pearl Moore. Moore scored 3,884 at Francis Marion from 1975-79 to set the overall AIAW record, before the NCAA began governing women’s athletics.
