The Orginal Of Auburn Peacock Shirt Peacock Party
The peacock image above is the central point of the design. It is ornate, with a blue neck, a crown of brilliant feathers, and eyespot-speckled plumage. In recent weeks, this image of peacock has become the unofficial symbol of this Auburn basketball incarnation.
This peacock symbol has gone viral even further when fans simultaneously added the peacock emoji to their display names on Twitter, with the team’s official account following suit. The bird has been included in deep-fried memes that bombarded the mentions of rival teams after Auburn won.
So, How does a peacock represent Auburn team?
It’s a question that has been on the minds of those who haven’t started yet when the monster logo has gone viral on social media over the last month.
At the time, Auburn was 12-1, after a 15-point win to open the game against the SEC and had a nine-game winning streak in early 2022. The Tigers climbed into the top 10 of the poll. of AP, to ninth place after entering 22nd year. Things were going well for the show, but Sterritt — an Auburn graduate and engineer — was curbing his expectations for the team.
That’s when Crowson, also an Auburn graduate student and a young adult pastor living in Dallas, uttered the word peacock. He couldn’t think of the term he wanted to use, and the peacock was the first thing that came to mind. He wants Sterritt and his fellow Auburn fans to embrace the talent and success of this year’s team – strut their stuff out like a peacock.
It was the beginning of a movement. Not long after, the team’s account also added the peacock to its display name, as the Tigers adopted their new unofficial logo.
While the peacock craze added to the Auburn fan experience, Sterritt added an unofficial title of his own: King Peacock. He was also one of the famous letter-keepers on the field during Auburn’s win over Texas A&M on Saturday — all while wearing an Auburn Peacock Shirt Peacock Party.
